What is Synkronizer? Synkronizer is an Excel add-in that compares, synchronizes and updates Excel spreadsheets.
How does Synkronizer work? Synkronizer reads the data from the old and new Excel sheets and compares bit by bit each cell entry. Synkronizer has a verifying tool that detects all differences automatically. This enables you to immediately determine the data added, deleted or changed. Furthermore Synkronizer is a database-tool that adjusts and synchronizes Excel databases.
What functions does Synkronizer perform? Synkronizer performs the following functions:
System requirements? Synkronizer 9.5 works with Excel 2000 (9.1),Excel 2002 (XP, 10.0), Excel 2003 (11.0) and Excel 2007 (12.0).
What is an add-In? An add-In is an additional program, procedure or function, that is loaded automatically when Excel (or another application) is started. An add-In addresses the needs of different users and increases the comfort and speed factor when working with such applications..
How do I get the best results? Synkronizer achieves the best results when your Excel sheets contain a database structure. In other words, your sheets must have unique column headings and primary keys. The advantage of a database structure is that you can delete or add any row/columns within your Excel sheets. You can also sort the data. Synkronizer detects all differences immediately!
What is a primary key? The database has one column with primary keys (unique identification number, article number etc.). A primary key identifies the data records and facilitates the sorting and synchronizing of your data. The Primary Key does not necessary need to be a single column, it can also be formed from two or three columns (e.g. family name, first name and city). Disadvantage of multiple column Primary Keys: duplicated primary keys may occur.
What are duplicated primary keys? Duplicated primary keys are data records that contain the same identification number. Assuming the primary key is formed from the family and first name, if you have several customers called "John Miller" in your database, Synkronizer will not know which data records are to be compared. Make sure that you always operate with unique primary keys.
What Synkronizer contains and how much it costs? There are five different versions of Synkronizer available. These versions contain the following:
